MISS LILY COPPLESTONE’S FEAT.

HAMILTON, Jan. 2. Miss Lily Gopplestone, entering the water at Cambridge this morning, swam 33i miles down the Waikato River to Ngaruawahia in 81 hours, breaking the Australian and New Zealand record by 31 miles. She used the double trudgeon stroke all the way and 'was swimming strongly when she finished. .
