CAPTAIN CAMPELL’S ENDEAVOURS. (British Official Wireless). RUGBY. Jan. 1. In the last few days mechanics have made a trial assembly of tho car in which Captain Malcolm CWipbell will attack at Daytona Beach Sir Henry Segrave’s speed record. There are twenty cylinders in the 1400 h.p. engine which, although twice as powerful as an express railway engine, is only five feet long and three feet wide. It was designed originally for the Napier seaplane in the Schneider trophy race and the special permission of the Air Ministry has been obtained for its use. Captain Campbell hopes to reach a speed of moro than four miles a minute.
