ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Per Press Association. TIMARU, Dec. 31. Norman Herbert Carr, aged 17, a visitor from Christchurch, died in the Timaru Hospital this morning as a result of injuries received in a collision with a car yesterday. The accident occurred on a dangerous intersection. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Dee. 31. The death of Wilfred Marfleet, aged 12, of Otahuliu, who was knocked down by a motor car on the Tamalqj bridge on Tuesday afternoon, occurred in Auckland Hospital. The bov received serious injuries to his head and concussion. CHILD DROWNED. Per Press Association. WANGANUI, Dec. 31. After being away for a short time from a picnic party, a child named Ulric William Benbrook. aged four years and nine months, was found drowned in a stream several miles from Waverley to-day. Artificial respiration was attempted, but was not successful. Deceased was the son of Mr and Mrs Henry Benbrook, of Waverley.
