SALVATION ARMY.

THE YOUNGEST RECRUIT. Received December 8, 10.20 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 7. The Salvation Army’s youngest recruit is Marion Ruth, aged three months, the eleventh grandchild of General Higgins. She joined up to the accompaniment of hymns and prayers at tire Wimbledon Citadel. She played cheerfully with her grandfather’s epaulets as he asked the congregation to keep her from intoxicants, tobacco, finery, wealth, hurtful reading and worldly acquaintances. During the closing prayers slie burst into tears and was lianded over to her mother.
