RIFLE SHOOTING.
For the second week of the "Linton Rifle Club’s championship series • the scores were again not of a very high average, F. R. Lewis getting top with 43-44. Although W. Balmer scored a 45 at 500 yards, he dropped a shot at 600 yards, only obtaining a 40 at‘this ran<re. The conditions were ten shots at each of 500 and 600 yards, the following being the detailed scores: F R. Lewis, 43 at 500 yards, 44 at 600 vardstotal 87; W. Balmer, 45, 40, 85; L.
