FEILDING STOCK SALE.
YESTERDAY’S QUOTATIONS. (Special to “Standard.”) The low level of values set in the sheep pens last week prevailed again at yesterday’s salo when fat sheep, although yarded in smaller numbers, found the market dull. Ewes sold at merely nominal prices with a corresponding low medium ruling in other sections. Store sheep were also little sought after, and an indication of tho demand is found in the fact that a line of 123 good ewes with 152 lambs sold for 20s 6d. The inquiry for dairy stock was lifeless, the small offering changing hands at low figures, while tho bulk of tho store cattle offering was passed, other lines bringing late rates. Tho beef yarding was good in numbers, but quality was not high and quotations were anything but brisk, the recent drop in the export value of beef having a marked effect. Detailed prices were as follow: Fat sheep.—Hoggets, 15s, 18s 2d; 2-ths, 16s 6d, 16s lOd, 17s, 19s Id; shorn ewes, 9s, 9s Bd, 10s, IDs 2d, 10s 6d, 11s 3d; woolly do., 13s 6d; wethers, 14s 3d, 14s 6d, 15s.
