GERMAN POLITICS.

SITUATION UNCHANGED. HITLER PARTY’S ATTITUDE. BERLIN, Sept. 19. The principal organ of the Hitler Party lengthily denies that the party ever talked of fusion or co-operation with the German National Party. It emphasises that it is a Social Revolutionary Party, whereas the Nationalists are reactionaries, hence fusion is out of the question. Nevertheless, it is agreed that the parties will always support each other in the Reichstag on important issues. The political situation thusfar is unchanged. Negotiations are proceeding behind closed doors. The Bruening Cabinet is confident of obtaining sufficient support against the catastrophic foreign policy. The excitement of the past three days has been replaced by a more sober feeling, and the appeal of the Prussian Prime Minister to form a coalition of all who have common sense is expected to bear fruit and bring together the parties which, despite economic and social differences, are Republic at heart.
