SHOPKEEPERS VICTIMISED. Per Press Association. GISBORNE, Sept. 20. In the Police Court to-day, Ernest Paul Crombie, who pleaded guilty to an attempt to victimise shopkeepers by false pretences, was sentenced to two years’ reformative detention. William Frank Perfect, who pleaded guilty to two charges of issuing valueless cheques, was sentenced to a year’s reformative detention.
