MANAWATU v. WANGANUI. i An inter-club match between the Manawatu and Wanganui Golf Clubs was played to-day on both the Hokoffliitu and Belmont links, the “A” teams competing at Palmerston North and the “B” teams at Wanganui. Tho weather conditions were, ideal. The contest at Hokowliitu resulted in the Manawatu beating the Wanganui team by 14 matches to 6 with one halved. Detailed results are as follows, with Manawatu players named first,:—A. E. Ekstedt lost to Silk; lan Mac Ewan beat Williams; L. Seifert beat Parkes; W. A. Keeling beat Hussev; W. A. Robertson beat Harrold; A. Seifert lost to Harrison; C. R. Upham lost to B. Howart; M. H. Oram beat McNiven; O. H. Druce beat .Betiven; J. G. Swainson beat Powdrell; W. K. Cook lost to Murchie; S. W. Rapley beat Scanned; W. L. Fitzherbert beat Hunter; C. G. Moore halved with Clay; R. Cumberworth beat Howie; J. M. Taylor beat Christie; W. E. Winks beat A. Howarth; N. Buist lost to Jones; T. Louisson beat Jack; T. Stubbs lost to Anderson; H. A. Seifert beat Zeisler. MANAWATU v. PALMERSTON NORTH. During the week-end a match will be played at Hokowhitu between teams representing the Manawatu and Palmerston North Clubs respectively. FEILDING CLUB BOGEY MATCHES The Feilding Golf Club played its August bogey match this afternoon. In the “A” grade game E. M. Hare proved tho victor, all square, whilst R. L. Harding won the “B” grade match with 2 up. He did a net 87, 48 out and 39 home. PALMERSTON NORTH CLUB. A medal competition was played on the Palmerston North Golf Club’s links to-day, for trophies supplied by the club. Tho competition will be continued tomorrow morning.
