BAINESSE.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) BAINESSE, Aug. 9. The event that all the children look forward to for months ahead took place on Friday evening, when their fancy dress dance once again was successful. The children occupied the floor until ten o’clock and they not only enjoyed themselves, but imparted pleasure to the onlookers. The three Maori girls, Barbara Tamiti, Myra Fitzgerald and Hilda Drury, gave splendid donees and were encored time after time. Maypole dances were a special feature and very cleverly done.
