QUEENSLAND INQUIRY.
BRISBANE, June 20. Concluding his address before the Mungana and Chillagoe Commission, Mr A. D. McGill, counsel for the Crown, submitted that it was beyond doubt that Mr E. G. McCormack, wa3 paid his share of what might bo called dividends, he paid a share to Mr Theodore, which has been traced into Mr Theodore’s account, and approximates half of what Mr McCormack got from Mungana,” added. Mr McGill.
The taking of evidence has concluded, but the commission will be kept open until June 28 to enable Mr Theodore to give evidence, if he so desires.
In tho course of the inquiry it was stated that the Government paid £40,000 for the leases, and that Mr AlcG’ormack held a considerable number of shares in the ventures.
