LITTLE GLOVE POINTS.
I To mend gloves cut away all ragged edges and buttonhole firmJy with cotton thread the sides to be mended. Then bring the two edges together and buttonhole them again. Ln this way they will 6tand the hardest wear —if a fastener pulls out of the glove, leaving a hole behind, pull out the opposite fastener and work this gap into a buttonhole. Find a button that matches the glove; pass a narrow piece of tape through the eyes of the button or at the back so that the ends hang even. Pass these ends through the hole made by the fastener, spread them flat so that they be in opposite directions at the edge of the glove opening, and sew them firmly. \Vhen putting gloves away, simply pull them gently into shape and lay them flat. If desired, talcum powder may be lightly dusted in them to absorb the perspiration from the hands.
