CARGO OF OPIUM.
WORTH £250,000. Received Mav 15, 12.30 p.m. GENEVA, May 14. Somewhere on the high seas tnere is a vessel laden with 2300 cases of opium aocording to information that Mr Arthur Henderson supplied to the League Council. The cargo represents £260,000 worth of raw opium, sufficient to poison a continent. The ship left Bushire for Vladivostok and has since disappeared. The League’s opium committee is trying to prevent it reaching its destination, probably China.
