WEDDINGS.

MacLEOD—LINKLATER. St. Andrew’s Church was the scone of a very pretty wedding oi great interest to residents of Palmerston North and district when Myra Eleanor, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Linklater, Miison’s Line, was united in matrimony to Murdo Campbell, eldest son of Mr and Mrs AI. Alacltood, Taonui. The bride, who entered the church on her father’s arm, looked charming in a lovely frock of white moire silk with closo fitting bodice and full tiarod skirt ankle length at back, with white veil and orange blossom, the head-piece being held in position by a beautifully mounted earn-gorm stone, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids were Miss Meryl Hammond, ot Huntcrville, chief bridesmaid, Miss Rita Linklater, sister of the bride, and A lias May MacLeod, sister of the bridegroom. All wore dainty frocks of white georgette and ladium lace with georgette hats, and carried baskets of bronze chrysanthemums. The bridegroom wore the tartan of the MacLeod Clan, and the groomsmen also were in Highland dress. Tho best man was Mr Peter Ballantyne, of Wellington, while Mr Eric Williamson and Mr Robert Linklater acted as groomsmen. The church was very tastefully decorated by friends of the bride. Mrs J. Linklater, mother of tho bride, wore powder blue georgette frock with white fur and white felt hat. Mrs M. MacLeod, mother of tho bridegroom, wore a rose beigo chantilly lace ensemble trimmed with pale green shot taffeta, with brown hat to tone. Miss Catherine MacLeod, sister of the bridegroom, wore blue embossed georgette; Miss Mavis Linklater, sister of the bride, turquoise blue georgette. Tho little sisters of the bride and bridegroom were dressed in dainty frocks of pale pink and blue respectively. After the ceremony, over 250 guests partook of tho wedding breakfast, which was hold in the Empire Hall, tho bride cutting the magnificent cake with the bridegroom's dirk. Mr McDonald was tho piper for the occasion and enlivecnd tho proceedings with his excellent playing of tho pipes. When Mr and Mis MacLeod, junr., left for the north, tho bride was wearing a Burgundy marocain frock with fawn hat to tone and fur ccat.
