AUSTRALIAN BOWLING.

CRITICISM IN ENGLAND. Received May 15, 1.30 p.m. LONDON, May 14. The Australian Press Association says that each match gives a poorer impression of the Australian bowling with the exception of Grimmett. The critics are asking what is going to happen when the veteran is given an already overdue rest. Fairfax and Hornibrook so far are unable to maintain a good length, while a’Beckett and Hurwood do not look dangerous. The Australians’ amazing collapse in the match against Lancashire was due purely to the great bowling of McDonald and Tyldesley.
