LAND SETTLEMENT.
A delegation from the New Zealand Land Settlement and Development League will bo in Palmerston North on Tuesday, 15th May. The executive membors of tho league visiting Palmerston- North are Messrs \V. J. Holdsworth (chairman), R. Glover-Clark (executive committoo) and N. G. Gribble (general secretary). Under tho auspices of tho Chamber of Commerce these gentlomen will address a publio meeting in tho Oroua Hall, Cuba Street, at 8 p.m. on Tuesday. The subject to bo dealt with will be land settlement in relation to unemployment. The league, which is non political, is undertaking a tour of the Dominion to arouso public opinion upon the vital question of the settlement of our undeveloped areas. Mr W. J. Holdsworth has a Do minion reputation as a speaker upon questions affecting our life. He :s chairman of tho Auckland Electric 1 ower Board and fills many other public officos. Mossrs R. Glover-Clark and N. G. Gribble have taken a leading part in civio matters
