DAIRY INDUSTRY.
GREAT STRIDES IN AUCKLAND PROVINCE. (By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) AUCKLAND, May 9. Dairying has made tiemendous strides in Auckland provinco in recent years. In 1910 only 260,425 boxes of butter were exported, whereas last season the total was 2,169,703 boxes, or almost a tenfold increase in 19 years. Similarly in cheese, Auckland’s exports have risen from 14,308 crates to 187,795 crates. The prospect of increased yields this season will make tho contrast even sharper. All dairy factories are showing larger outputs, and a record this year is assured. This in a large measure will compensate for the fall in prices.
