LITERARY DIGEST POLL. Received May 9, 10.5 a.m. NEW YORK, May 8. The newspaper Literary Digest, in a prohibition pall of 4,150,017 votes, ascertained the following figures: 1,248,589 for enforcement, 1,231,849 for modification, and 1,609,579 for repeal of the prohibition law. North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennesse, Kansas and Arkansas cast the majority for strict enforcement. Only New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island had a majority for repeal.
