SCOTCH CONCERT.

ON MONDAY NIGHT. Following the Caledonian sports on Monday, a grand Scotch concert arranged by the Manawatu Caledonian Society will bo held in tho Opera House in the evening, when, in addition to championship winners, the following artists will appear on ; the programme : —First half; Mrs E. Ranson Myers, Wellington, “Coming Through the Rye”; Mr D. Stark, Wellington, humorous recitation; Mr. W. Watters, Palmerston North, “Afton Water”; Miss G. D. Cameron, Palmerston North, “Ye Banks and Braes”; Mrs E. Ransom Myers, Wellington, will entertain with a humorous number, “Pride has a Fall”;. Mr W. W. 'Marshall, Wellington, “Hundred Pipers”; Miss N. Whalloy, Palmerston North,' "Blue BelL of Scotland”; in addition pipo selections and Highland dances by tho champions will bo given. Following tho interval, Mrs E. Ransom Myers will fender a song entitled “Auld Scotch Songs,” and later a humorous number, “Cross Purposes”; Mr W. Watters will sing, “Highlanders’ Toast,’’ and Miss G. D. Cameron “Robin Adair,” Miss N. Whalley will sing “Bonnie Bank* of Eoch Lomond,” and Mr W. W. Marshall “Blue Bonnets over the Border” Tho programme is to be concluded with a humorous item by Mr D. Stark. Miss Mavis Muirhead will act as accompani6te.
