FREEZING WORKS DISPUTE.
TRUCE ARRANGED. Per Press Association. , CHRISI’CHURCH, April 16. A truce has been arranged in connection with the trouble at the freezing works in Canterbury, and to-day work was being carried on normally at all factories. , Mr H. G. Eevell, secretary of the Canterbury Freezing YVorkers’ Union, said that yesterday the executive or the union held.a long meeting to discuss the whole position, and as a re-i suit of. a deputation waitipg on representatives of tho South Island Freezing Companies’ Association, normal work had been resumed.
