NOTED COMEDIAN.
VIEWS ON. NEW ZEALAND. NEW YORK, April 16. Sir Harry Lauder arrived hero today. The noted comedian had much to say of his world tour, but he had most to say about New Zealand, which ho travelled from end to end to pursue Iris hobby of fishing. He said that he caught “two sharks and a cartload of trout.” Sir Harry added: “The New Zealanders are most hospitable. I met many of my own people there, and if I had accepted nil the invitations to stay with the Duncan Macdonalds, tho .Sandy MacDougills and the Peter MacTavishos I would not be in America yet.” Asked if New Zealand was “dry,” ho replied : “I tell you lrow it is. Some places there are “dry” and some are “wet,” but the difference is that in the “dry” territory they get it in barrels and in the “wet” territory they got it in pints.” Sir Harry Lauder will sail by the Mauretania ori April 30 for Dunoon, on the Clyde. *
