TRAIN COLLISION
SMASH IN TASMANIA. ONE MAN INJURED. CREWS JUMP CLEAR. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received April 16. 11 a.m. HOBART, April 16. A head-on collision between a goods and passenger train occurred to-day between Wyena and Golconda. There was only one man injured. Both trains were severely damaged. No explanation is available as to how the two trains were allowed to meet on a single line. The respective crews saw that a crash was inevitable and jumped clear.
