TRACK WORK AT ELLERSLIE. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND. April 15. Perfect weather conditions prevailed -'at Ellerslie this morning for training work‘d Most of the gallops were carried out on the course proper, with the poles 45 feet out from the rails. The going was excellent, and several smart gallops were registered. The hurdles and steeplechase course were also available, and there were several good jumping displays. v On the course proper, Gold Money was first to work, and, jumping away from the seven furlongs post, she was joined by Ruling King at the six furlongs post. Gold Money completed her task in 1.36 L 5. the last six furlongs taking 1.22 1-5, and she was in front of Ruling King at the finish. Tambourine and Neil woro sent over a round, running the distance in 2.18 3-5, both going freoly. •• - King Emerald was not hurried to complete six furlongs in 1.22 1-5. f Eager Rose and Kawainga jumped away at the five furlongs post and ran home in 1.5 3-5. Eager Rose worked woll and was doing it better at the finish. Cannibal beat New Boy by several lengths over six furlongs in 1.23 2-5. Good Idea and Full Measure were on terms over half a mile in 51 l-ssec. Brampton ran a milo in 1.50 3-5. Cynthian was worked over a similar distance, which was completed in 1.45 4-ssec. This mare is looking well, and her effort was pleasing. Currajong got to tho end of a mile in 1.54 2-5, but was not asked to do his best. Great Emblem and Restaurant went five furlongs in 1.8 1-5, with not much betweed them. Hunting Day sprinted five furlongs in 1.4 4-5. This three-year-old is looking well, and hit out very freely, Love Song and Cylinder • ran home from the half milo post in 50 4-ssec. Tho former was doing better over the early part, but Cylinder was up with him at the finish. Quincoma was too good for Dark Prince at tho end of a round in 2.15 1-5. The last seven furlongs took 1.41 1-5. Mon Star was better than Manawhonua at the finish of six furlongs in 1.22 1-5. Several two-year-olds and maidens were exercised at tho barrier at the milo post and sprinted a few furlongs. Among them was Grand Spirit and Green Timber, who ran three furlongs in 39 1-6. Green Timber was then eased up. Good Boy was worked over six furlongs in 1 22 3.5. . Star Stranger, Don Quixote and Operatic were companions over six furlongs, running tho distance in. 1.9 5-5 Star Stranger was a shade in front of Don Quixote at the finish, with Operatic several lengths back. The jumpers Kt.mehnmeha (J. Burgess) and Kauri Park (Garrett) wore associated over four schooling hurdles, giving a satisfactory display. Thureby started off just behind them, but did not impress.
