(From Our Own Correspondent.) TOKOMARU, April 14. Mrs Walker, who has been the guest of her sister, Mrs L. Jamison, left tor Sydney last week. Air. Palmer, who ha 3 been a, visitor to Air and Airs J. Schwass, has ■returned to his home in South Canterbury. Mrs J. Liggins and family and Airs N. Whyte and lamily returned to their homes yesterday after an enjoyable holiday spent at Flimmerton.
On Suriday tho local school children joumoyed to Wellington to visit the zoo where they spent an enjoyable afternoon. About eighty children and guardiuns took advantage of the trip. Air J. Gilmour was the supervisor. \ On Saturday the Tpkomaru juniors played tho Foxton football team on the local recreation grounds in the first match of the season wnich resulted in a victory for tho home team, the score being 11 to 6. Tries wore soored by H. Penticost (1) and J. Bennett (2). Foxton secured a try and a penalty goal. Air Pine was the referee.
