(From Our Own Correspondent.) BUNNYTHORPE, April 12. Mr J. Robertson, manager of the glaxo factory, left last week for a holiday trip to Australia. Mr and Mrs J. Armstrong, who have been spending a holiday at Taupo, returned home at the end of the week. The Bunnythorpe tennis team played a friendly match with the Kimbolton team at Kimbolton on Saturday, 12th inst. Godfrey 6. Totals: Bunnythorpe 14 set 6, 118 games. Kimbolton 10 sets, 95 games. The annual meeting of the Bunnythorpe Library took place on Saturday evening when Mr J. W. Clevely presided over a fair number of subscribers. The report showed that 40 new books were purchased during the year and that the number of subscribers was about the same. Tho balance-shoet showed a credit balance of £2 4s 6d. The committee that was elected consists of Messrs J. W. Clevely (chairman), F. Burton (secretary), N. Shute, J. Scheidt and P. Botto; auditor, Mr W. B. Duthie.
A meeting of tho Anglican Methodist Church took place on Sunday evening when arrangements for tho Anzac services at the monument' on tho recreation ground on tho 25th inst. were made. Rev. Mr Gertz, Anglican minister, will give tho address and will be assisted by Rev. R. C. Fordyce, Methodist minister. Settlers will aftain remember this important gathering. The first dance of the season will take place in the Public Hall on Wednesday, 16th inst., when tho footballers will hold a dance.
