CHILD FATALLY INJURED. Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, April 14. Gordon Douglas Whitehead, aged three, a son of Mr V. D. Whitehead, of Tikorangi, died to-night in the New Plymouth Hospital from injuries received as the result of being knocked down and upon by a draught horse at his father’s farm this afternoon. The father had just turned the horse into a neighbouring paddock, when it jumped back over a half-raided gate, and trampled down the. little boy. Tlie child suffered severe injuries to his head and body, and died after five hours, without reguining consciousness.
