MANAWATU CLUB. The April bogey competition was played on the Hokowbitu links on Saturday afternoon under very good playing conditions. The recent rains have greatly improved the greens and fairways which will be in first-class order for the Easter tournament. The best scores, which show an unusual number of ties for first and second places, are as follow.—A grade: E. 11. Chapman (11), 1 up; It. Cumberworth (6) 1 up: ft. W. McKee (3), square; W. A. Keeling (2), square. B grade: N. H. Sinclair (14), 1 up; It. A. Bennett (13), square; E. A. Hamilton (13), square.
