W.E.A. LECTURE.
Little is known among western people of the national hero of the Filipinos, Jose Bizal, who was executed by tho Spanish authorities just before they lost tho Philippine Islands to tho United States. Rizal will be one of the leaders of modern Asia whose careers will bo described by Mr J A. Brailsford, 8.A., lecturing before the W.E.A. at the Cosmopolitan Hall, Cuba Street, to-night, at 8 o’clock. Tho stirring life of Gandhi, the Indian. “Mahatma” or “great soul’’will bo reviewed; also that of Dr Sun Yat Sen, “Father of the Chinese Republic.” Mention will also bo made of other leaders, working through non-political channels for the uplift of their people, but not less entitled to admiration.
