PEACE GESTURE.
MEETING ON BATTLEFIELD. FRENCH AND GERMAN VETERANS. PARIS, Feb. 24. Arrangements have been comp.eted for one of the most dramatic movements ever made toward unity between France and Germany. On the iamous Chemin des Dames, a strategical ridge twenty miles long north-west of Rheims, where for months French and German troops fought to the death, the survivors will meet again in August. MTen thousand ex-German soldiers Will join a like number of Frenchmen on the scene of the epic struggle and solemnly swear an oatli to outlaw war for evermore.
