The second heat of the Forster Cup was won by Tassie 111, from N.S.W. 111. YACHTING. MELBOURNE, Feb. 24. The final race for the Forster Yachting Cup was won by N.S.W. 111. from N.S.W. I. The weather was squally. These were the only boats to finish. N.S.W. 111. won the cup with 20 points. Gwylan (Queensland) was next with 12. BILLIARDS. LONDON, Feb. 23. Clark McConachy, the New Zealander, succeeded in defeating Lindrum in the finish of a closely-contested match, which lasted a fortnight. McConachy began the last session on Saturday with a deficiency of 219, but a brilliant break of 416, following smaller items, put him on the road to victory. Lindrum in the last fifteen minutes made a plucky effort, taking many risks, in a vain attempt to snatch the game and match from the fire. The final score was: achy 24,224, including breaks of 505 ;and 416; Lindrum, 23,787. In the Smith-Newman match, the final was: Smith, 24,355, including breaks of 514 and 957; Newman, 19,475, including a break of 1053.
