• RANGITIKEI RACING CLUB. (From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, Feb. 20. The committee of the Rangitikei Racing Club met on Tuesday evening, Mr J. H. Perrett being in the chair. The chairman referred to the loss the club had suffered through tho death of Mr A. A. McDonell, who had in the past been an active member, and who had rendered valuable service. Sympathy with his relatives was expressed, and deceased’s memory was honoured in the usual manner, all standing. The committee approved of the action of the sub-committee in accepting the tender of Mr V. Edhouso for bedding, and tho engagement of Mr A. J. Berryman to supply the music for tho races. It was decided to instal 11 more electric light points on the course and accommodation house. The farm committee reported the sale of 62 lambs on schedule, and 36 for 14s 4d. This makes the sale of 208 lambs from 200 ewes. The ewes will be sold later when fat. The “plough” and course are in splendid order, and the grass will be cut again before the meeting. The sleeping porch has been added to the acccommodation house, and will hold eight more beds.
