FATALITY AT AUCKLAND. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Feb. 20. Fatal injuiries were received by Thomas Irwin, aged 43, a labourer, when he was knocked down by a heavy lorry about nine o’clock this morning. He died in tho Auckland hospital shortly afterwards. Deceased was employed in tarring and sanding work in Hopetoun Street, and the lorry arrived with a load of !sand. Warning of the approach of the j vehicle was given Mr Irwin but it ,struck him, a wheel pasisng over his right thigh. He is survived by a widowand three children.
