The libel action in which Norman Melver claimed £2OOO from tho David Svme Company for damages arising from statements published in the Age nnd the Leader in December, 1928, in connection with the bomb outrage at the Greek Club, resulted in a verdict for the plaintiff for one shilling against each paper. Melver was among several of those arrested, but was acquitted He complained that the published statements tended to make him appear to be a desperate criminal, but he had nothing to do with any outrage.
