ENDEAVOUR SOCIETY MEETING. At tho monthly meeting of the Baptist Christian Endeavour Society, Rev. F. A. Crawshaw presided. A.ftcr tho preliminary hymns and intimations, tho chairman introduced Air Gill, who lias recently returned to New Zealand from Melbourne, where he has been taking a course in the Bible Training Institute. Taking as his text the words of St. Paul, “I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth,” Mr Gill spoke of the effect of mission work in Melbourne, dwelling especially on two incidents with which he himself had come in contact. He ended by urging tho Endeavourers to stand up for Christ and never to be ashamed of Him, nor of His Gospel. . The meeting concluded with the singing of the hymn, “I’m not ashamed to own My Lord.”
