SHOPLIFTER CAUGHT.

WOMAN FINED £2O. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Dec. 20. A series of shop-lifting charges was admitted by Mrs Anna Alexander Mills, aged 43, in the Magistrate’s Court to-day. Chief-Detective Hammond described the offences as a Christmas shop-lift-ing tour. Accused visited five shops and stole something from each. She was fined £2O for a similar offence two years ago. The Magistrate, Mr F. K. Hunt, said but for the fact that accused was in very bad health he would send her to prison. She would be fined £2O.
