PIGEON FLYING. (From Our Own Correspondent). SANDON, Nov. 5. During the week-end a race for mixed birds from Otaki was held. The weather was windy and cloudy. Keith Lumsden secured first and second places with Golden Arrow and Shooting Star. D. Hammond’s birds Meditation ■ and Blue Gem were third and fourth. Next week-end the race will be from Wellington; the Eglington Challenge Cup will be the trophy. CRICKET. Owing to the wickets at Feilding being heavy, no matches were played on Saturday.
