; PRIME MINISTER’S HEALTH. AN OFFICIAL ASSURANCE. An official intimation that the state of health of the Prime • Minister (Sir Joseph Ward) was riot such as to cause any misgivings was given to,a “Standard” representative, to-day, by Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle, Minister of Internal affairs and in charge of the Publicity Department. “That is not quite correct and I wish to give it an official denial,” stated the Minister, when asked if the health of Sir Joseph Ward .was causing concern. “There was a -rumour current-to that effect in the House at Wellington,” he added in giving an assurahee that it was not the case. “When I left Sir Joseph Ward,” said Hon. de la Perrelle, “he -Was quite robust and enjoying his little cigarette. He is making a rapid recovery from his indisposition after an attack of influenza and will probably resume his seat in the House on Mondav or Tuesday.” The Minister, in reply to a question, said he anticipated that tho Parliamentary session was likely to end at the close of this month or in the tjrst week of November. SIR JOSEPH WARD IMPROVING. MAY BE IN HOUSE ON TUESDAY. (By Telegraph—Special to Standard). WELLINGTON, Oct. 11. Sir Joseph Ward continues to make progress. He was up and dealing with official papers this morning. His doctor is pleased with his progress and Sir Joseph expects to be in the House on Tuesday.
