Advices from the war zone states that valiant attempts are being made by the Chinese defence forces to save the city of Mohlin from the Soviet invaders. A large force of Russians are concentrating in the vicinity of the city.

The latest reports from Harlin state that all communications with Pogranichnaya have been severed, the city being reduced to ruins by continuous gun fire, Soviet bombing ’planes and field guns. The town of Tungninghsien disappeared in flames. There is undoubtedly open warfare along the border.
