GARRISON BAND

SUNDAY AFTERNOON CONCERT. The Garrison Band rendered an excellent concert yesterday afternoon from the Square rotunda, the band making its first public appearance under the baton of the now conductor. Air R. Cox. There was a large and appreciative audiencis, the programme being as follows: —Contest march, “Ravenscliffo” : grand “William Tell”; novelty foxtrot. 'Wedding of the Painted Doll”; intermezzo, “Roses”; selection, “The Dissert Song”, cornet solo, “Because” (soloist, Mr R. Cox); hymn, “Nearer My Cod to Thee”; Spanish march, “El Abanico” ; God Save the King.
