POLICE OFFENCES BILL.
STRICTER MEASURES IN VICTORIA. Received August 24, 10.0 a.m. MELBOURNE, Aug. >24. The Victorian Government is tightening the Police Offences Statutes Bill now before Parliament to prohibit fraudulent advertisements, betting in streets and hotels, and the taking c.f sketches, or photographs, of Judges, barristers, accused persons or witnesses in 'judicial proceedings.
