At the meeting of the Palmerston North River Board yesterday, a letter was received from the Hutt River Board stating that efforts were being made to have the date of elections of river boards changed to May. The support of the Palmerston North board ini the matter was solicited. It was pointed out that the local board was nominated, not elected, and the communication was received.
