HYDROGRAPHIC WORK.
SUGGESTION FROM DUNEDIN. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, April 11. On the suggestion of Hon. G. M. Thomson, the Otago Institute is urging on the Government the desirability of endeavouring to secure the services of the City of New York (now tied up for the winter at Port Chalmers) and her staff for hydrographic work on the New Zealand coast. Mr Thomson expressed the view that a survey of the coast would be invaluable to the fishery work.
