OPAWA TRAGEDY

MOTOR CYCLISTS KILLED. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Apnl JlDetails of the OpaWa tragedy by which two motor cyclists were jalif , shows that the accident occurred at a corner near Locarno Street, Opaw.a. A tram outward bound, having the Square at 10.10 p.m., was struck head-on by the mcwor-cvcle. The cycle was badly smashed front of the tram was damaged. ■ Mr Bugg, aged 33 years a, mgl man, an ex-soldier, the rider of motor-cycle, was killed distantly, jaw being smashed. Mr Gandlish, aged 45 years, who was pillion ridi g, sustained severe injuries and diet shortly after being admitted to hospital. Mr Candlish was a married man with eight children, mostly grown-up.
