HUI MAI FOOTBALL CLUB. (From Our Own Correspondent.) SANDON,; April 9. A meeting of the Hui Mai Club wns held on Thursday evening to nrrango details, for tho coming season. Mr H. J. Fagan presided over a good attendance. Before commencing tho business of the meeting, the chairman thanked the members for reelecting him to tho position of president and wished tho teams a pleasant and successful season. Messrs C. Eglinton, J. Koster and the secretary were appointed to arrange for goal posts. The club this season is faced with a difficulty regarding transport and the matter was left in the hands of the management committee to try and make suitable arrangements. The names of Messrs S. Reeve and R. Richardson are to be submitted to the union as senior referees. Mr C. C. Lawrence was elected club captain. Mr D. J- Koster was elected manager for the senior team and Messrs E. Davey and B. Scandlyn managers for the thirds. The matter of "jerseys was discussed and it was decided to arrange with Messrs Nicol Bros, to supply them. Tho secretary reported that satisfactory terms had been arranged. It was decided to nominate one senior and, if players aro available, an A and B third grade team. It was resolved that a . game for the third grade team be arranged with Halcombo on the 13th inst., and an endeavour is to be made to arrange a game with the Hui Club. The team to play at Halcombe will he elected from the following players:—M. Sanson, Li Cockburn, K. McCabe, K. George, K. Lumsden, R. Signal, G. Sanson, J. Hammond, K. Cockburn, E. Ingram, W. Coats, G. Richardson, D. Richardson, S. Harris, D. Hammond, K. Pearce, A. Yorke, R. Tattle, W. Sanson, PERSONAL. The many friends of Mr W. S. Penny will be pleased to hear that his condition is showing some improvement.
