POLO TOURNEY
JUNIOR CUP MATCH. (Special to “Standard.”) FEILDING, April 9. In.a match for the. Junior Cup at the polo tournament in Feilding yesterday afternoon, Feilding B were defeated by Homewood A by 9 goals to 7. The first three chukkas were evenly contested, Sherratt scoring in the first and again twice in the second. For Feilding R. Scott shot a §oal at the end of the second chukka. herratt added another goal in the fourth chukka while Ormond supplied a' further score. Towards the close of the spell Homewood were penalised and Old found the posts.—5 —2. R. and W. Scott were the means of Feilding’s score being increased to four in the next stages of play and a strong rally by Homewood increased their tally also. In < the final spell, Feilding tried hard to equalise the score, but the game ended 9 —7 in favour of Homewood. HANDICAP CUP.
Tho first match for the Handicap Cup was the next game, the teams being Homewood B (30) and Waimai (28). AVaimai opened strongly and shot four goals in the first chukka, the bell 6ounding with the score board reading 32—30. The Waikato men kept on the ball in the next, and again overran the opposition, four more .goals being added, the score reading 36—30 in favour of Waimai. The following chukka saw much galloping but a lot of mishitting, but Waimai increased their tally by two goals and %it was not till the next spell that the Hastings team obtained their first goal, Couper and Hewitt being responsible. The final score was 39 —32 in favour of Waimai.

Per Press Association. FEILDING, April 9. This morning in the Junior Cup game of the polo tournament Matangi A defeated Hawke's Bay B by 8 goals to 3. ANNUAL MEETING. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. Per Press Association. FEILDING, April 9. At the annual meeting of the Polo Association the following officers were elected:—Patron, Sir Charles Fergusson, the Governor-General; president, Mr D. Riddiford; vice-president, Mr R. L. Levin; committee, Messrs DGould, C. L. Orbell, E. E. Short, J. Gatenby and C. Chitty; secretary, Mr K. M. Little. It was decided to invite .an Australian team to visit the Dominion next season.
