POHANGINA VALLEY.
CRICKET MATCH. (From Our Own Correspondent.) POHANGINA, April 9.
On Saturday last a pleasant day was spent at Raumai, when a cricket team from Colyton journeyed there and played - a match with a team representing Pohangina Valley. An interesting game ensued, following which the players were entertained to afternoon tea at Mr H. Smart’s residence. Following are details of the game:— Pohangina Valley.—First innings: C. D.F.U. MEETING. The Pohangina Valley branch of tho Dairy Farmers’ Union held tho monthly meeting- at Raumai on Saturday evening, A medium attendance was presided over by Mr J. D. Balmer. The monthly .report of the executive committee was discussed. It was moved by the chairman and decided that the annual meeting and election of officers be held on Saturday, May-4th.
