MEXICAN BANDITS.

DEMAND FOR RANSOM. * (British Official Wireless.) Received March 29, 9.5 a.m. RUGBY, March 27. Sir Austen Chamberlain stated in the House of Commons to-day that a ransom of 24,000 dollars had been demanded for the release of Mr Reid, ,a British subject, and an American citizen, who were captured by Mexican bandits. ' The British Minister at Mexico City had addressed a representation to the Mexican Government. The Minister repoited that the pursuit of the bandits by the federal troops had been temporarily suspended.
