LATE MARSHAL FOCH.
PRINCE OF WALES PROMINENT AT FUNERAL. (British Official Wireless). RUGBY, March 26. The Prince of Wales, representing the King, was a prominent figure at the funeral of Marshal Foch in Paris. After attending the service at the Cathedral of Notre Dame, His Royal Highness marched with the distinguished representatives of other nations in the great procession from the Cathedral to the Hotel deg Invalides, where the remains were buried near Napoleon’s Tomb. The Prince walked with Prince Charles of Belgium, immediately behind the coffin. The cortege included detachments of the forces of all the nations allied with France in the Great War, including Coldstream Guardesmen, men of the British Royal Air Force, and men of the London Scottish regiment. FieldMarshal Sir George Milne and Lord Plumer took part as official representatives of Great Britain, and other British field-marshals attending were Lord Methuen, Lory Allenby and Sir Claude Jacob.
