FINNISH BARQUE.

DOCKED IN AUCKLAND. GROWTH ON UNDER WATER PLATES. (By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 16. The four-masted Finnish barque Olivebank was towed into dock this morning for cleaning and painting. Her appearance there is of some considerable interest as it is unlikely that a sailing ship of her size will ever again enter the dock in view of the steady disappearance of the old “windjammers” from the world’s sea routes. Workmen spent several hours scraping the vigorous growth of shellfish from tho vessel’s under water plates, the outcome of 15 months’ plodding about in tropic seas. The quantity of barnacles, shells and seaweed removed weighed several tons. To-morrow she will come out spick and span in her new coat of paint ready once more to take to the seas in continuation ot tne voyage which so far has been dogged by storm and adventure.
