G —o; Mayell beat Robb, G —s, 4—6, G—o ; Gallichan beat Smith, (v —1, G —4; Waugh beat McMinn, 5 —6 G—3, 6—2; Bird beat McLean, G —2, o—4. Second round : Norris beat Griggs, 6—l, 6—o; Gibson beat Woods, 6 —3, 6 —3; Mayell beat-Smith, G—2, 0—1; Gallichan beat Robb, 6—3 ; Waugh lost to McLean, 4—6; Bird beat McMinn, 6—2. Men’s Doubles. —Norris and Gibson beat Woods and Griggs. 9—5; Mayell and Gallichan beat Smith and Robb, 9—2; Waugh and Bird beat McMinn and McLean, 9—6.^
